Yearn to Wander
Bald Eagle
When we first admired the Bald Eagles on Vancouver Island, people told us they would become ho hum. While I don't always head for the shoulder to gaze anymore, these beautiful birds with a seven foot wing span still thrill me. Enjoy this one flying near French Creek with the snow-capped Coast Range peaks in the background.
Spring Flowers
Spring flowers are pretty everywhere. On Vancouver Island, the gardens and woodlands on are alive with color, and the promise of more to come.
Bowen Park Bird Walk
What a lovely birdwalk in Nanaimo this morning -- Bowen Park, a 70 hectare city park, was spectacular.
Puget Sound
Puget Sound land forms and the resulting weather were fascinating.
Carnation, Washington
Carnation is a pleasant small town east of Seattle and Redmond, home of Microsoft. It was incorporated in 1912 as Tolt, and renamed in 1917 to reflect its major company, Carnation Milk.
