Birding around Nanaimo

Birding around Nanaimo is always interesting because of its climate and variety of parks, rivers, and mountains. People come from all over the world to enjoy the natural beauty and add to their life lists. I met a lovely Dutch couple, and she, who also spoke Russian and was an amateur singer, sang a Russian folksong as we walked through the forest looking for birds. It was magical!
